Valentines

Valentine's Day - was the highlight of my week! Eric left me in the dark for days until I had called my mom to go and eat at home, until he finally said not to make plans... and he cooked a whole dinner for us both! It was soooo good - chicken parmesean and tiramisu [he made it all!!]. Then we watched a couple movies and relaxed... just like the good old days when he was my escape from second-year studio lol.

We also went to Mocha Blend twice this weekend which was amazing - they serve you soup-bowl-sized coffees and they have a realllly good "irish cream mocha"! The only downside is that they charge you a rediculous amount for all this stuff... breakfast sandwhiches are like five dollars [for some egg and cheese and two pieces of bacon] anddd i saw that soup there is five dollars also. But oh well - the atmosphere is nice... finally a coffee joint that isn't being overrun by the hipsters lol - you can relax and not worry about all the popular music you like, or how loose your jeans have become.

As a sidenote: I really like the Enclosures class I'm taking - being able to sit and draw buildings' constructions. It's something I wish there was a profession for - and not 'drafting' like they do today... sitting in front of the computer and doing CAD models... that's really not what I would like to do... but to physically sit down and draw wall sections or facades... like what used to be really privledged in architecture - I wish that was still around cuz I like learning this way. Too bad it's just an aspect of the education here - you know $2,000 worth of information out of the $2 billion or whatever I'm spending to be a behind-the-computer architect. Oh well - if any big architecture people are reading this and want to hire an enthusiastic hand-drawing drama queen then call on me!
